PT DAHANA won Gold in the DEFEND ID Cup 2024 in shooting competition. Wahyudi Hidayat, Independent Commissioner of DAHANA, was one of the participants representing DAHANA in the shooting competition. The competition which was one of the peak events of DEFEND ID’s 2nd Anniversary was held at PT PINDAD, Bandung, West Java on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
“We are grateful to win the DEFEND ID Cup shooting competition for the commemorate of the 2nd anniversary of Indonesia’s proud defense industry holding,” said Mr Hidayat.
As is known, DEFEND ID is a state-owned holding company for the Indonesian defense industry which is chaired by PT LEN Industri (Persero) with PT PINDAD, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT PAL Indonesia, and PT DAHANA as members, which aims at being the main motor for realizing the independence of national defense equipment, and becoming a player the global defense industry supply chain.
For the celebration of the 2nd anniversary, the committee carried the theme “Strength in Unity, Empowering Golden Indonesia” with various activities that united all employees from holding members, such as the DEFEND ID Cup.
The 2024 DEFEND ID Cup offered competition in 10 sports, namely, basketball, bolleyball, badminton, table tennis, football, DVR, ESport, chess, Shooting and Rising Star.
In addition to being the champion for the shooting competition, PT DAHANA also won a bronze medal in the volleyball competition. The Chair of the DAHANA Contingent, Cipta Ismaya Kusumah, expressed his gratitude for the support from DAHANA management, as well as all the athletes who have trained and competed seriously.
“Thank God, this year we won two medals, one gold medal for the shooting competition, and one bronze medal for the volleyball competition. We would like to thank DAHANA management for their support, hopefully next year DAHANA athletes can make even more achievements,” he said.
